About the process and methodology
- What is the process of creating a brand identity like? I work through a structured 5-step process: first, I do a Discovery and Research (market analysis, competition, and audience), then Setting Objectives and positioning, then the Development of a Visual Identity (logo, colors, typography, and graphic system), followed by Applications and Testing on actual media using mockups, and finally a phase of Assessment and Adaptation to maximize long-term impact.
- How long does a full-scale branding project take? It depends on the scope of the project. Since this is a customized process involving research, design, and validation phases, each project has its own timeline. When you contact me, tell me about your project and I’ll provide you with a realistic estimate tailored to your needs.
- How many revisions or rounds of changes are included in the service? This is determined at the start of each project based on its scope. My relationship with the client is built on honesty and transparency, so it’s always clear from the outset what’s included and how we handle changes.
- How do they present their design proposals? Proposals are presented using mockups and prototypes on actual materials, so you can see exactly how your brand will perform in the real world before giving the green light.
About Costs and Budget
- How much does a professional logo cost? The price varies depending on the scope of the project. A professional logo is more than just a design—it involves research, strategy, testing, and implementation. Contact me with the details of your project, and I’ll provide you with a customized quote.
- How much does a complete branding package cost for a small business? Every brand is unique, so I always provide customized quotes. I offer services ranging from comprehensive visual identity to brand strategy, web design, packaging, and verbal identity. Drop me a line, and we’ll find the solution that best fits your needs.
- What's the difference between a cheap logo and a professional one? A cheap logo is just a file. A professional logo is the result of a process involving research, market and competitor analysis, and a creative strategy. It is designed to set you apart, stand the test of time, and work across all platforms. It is an investment that works for your business.
- Is it worth investing in branding if I'm an entrepreneur? Absolutely. In fact, it’s one of the most important times to do so. Building a strong brand from the start saves you from costly redesigns down the road and gives you a better foothold in your industry right from day one.
About Deliverables
- What files will I receive at the end of the project? You will receive all the files you need to use your brand in any context: digital versions, print versions, and the appropriate formats for each use. Specific details are determined based on the service you have purchased.
- Will I receive the editable file for my logo? Yes. Using Adobe Illustrator as my primary tool, projects are delivered with the final files in the agreed-upon formats. All of this is clearly specified before we begin.
- What does a brand manual include? A brand book outlines all the guidelines for using your visual identity: logo, color palette, typefaces, graphic system, and applications. It serves as a guide to ensure that your brand always looks consistent and professional.
- In what file formats do I need my logo? It depends on where you plan to use it. Typically, you’ll need vector versions (AI, EPS, SVG), versions for the web (PNG with a transparent background), and versions for print (PDF). This is planned from the start so you have all the formats you need.
On Rights and Property
- Is the final design 100% my own? Yes. Once the project is finished and payment is complete, all rights to use the design belong to you. Our relationship with clients is based on complete transparency, and that includes ownership of the delivered work.
- Can I register the logo as a trademark? Yes, you can register it as a trademark. I recommend doing so to protect your brand. For the legal registration process, I suggest consulting with an intellectual property specialist.
- Can the designer use my logo in their portfolio? It is common for designers to showcase their work in their portfolios. In my case, in marcopontes.es/trabajos You can view examples of past projects. If you have any specific preferences, we can discuss them before we get started.
On Differentiation and Results
- What is the difference between branding and visual identity? Visual identity is the graphic aspect of your brand (logo, colors, fonts, etc.). Branding is the comprehensive strategic process that gives meaning to that identity: mission, vision, values, positioning, and the relationship you build with your customers. I work on both levels.
- How do I know if a designer is good? Look at the process, not just the results. A good designer researches, asks questions, understands your business, and explains the reasoning behind their decisions. With over 10 years of experience, a Master’s degree in Branding from the University of Barcelona, and a diverse portfolio, you can see if my approach is a good fit for you.
- How does branding affect sales? A strong brand builds trust, and trust drives sales. Effective branding enhances your standing in the industry, makes it easier for customers to remember you, and creates an emotional connection with your customers that goes beyond price.
- Do I need branding before launching my business? Ideally, yes. Launching with a professional visual identity and a clear branding strategy gives you a real competitive edge from day one and prevents you from having to start all over again as your business grows.
On the client-designer relationship
- What information does the designer need to get started? First, I need to understand your business, your target audience, your competition, and your goals. That’s why the process begins with an in-depth interview. The clearer your vision is, the better I’ll be able to translate it into a brand that really works.
- What if I don't like any of the proposals? My process is designed to minimize that situation: thorough research and strategic planning ensure that proposals are well-founded and aligned with your brand. If adjustments are needed, we handle them transparently and in accordance with our agreement.
- Do you work with clients from any industry? I have worked with brands across a wide range of industries: extreme sports, cosmetics, set design, alternative therapies, urban culture, tourism, and more. I only take on projects that are inspiring and challenging, because that leads to better results for both of us.
